Desert Market
at Casey’s Corner
Way back in 1958 Arthur “Casey” Schwab bought the land at the corner of Page Springs and Cornville roads and opened the popular Casey’s Corner service station, grocery store and a twelve-stool bar. Known even then as “the place where friends come to meet”, this gathering spot soon became well known throughout the area.
It’s been over 50 years since Casey first opened his doors and the historic Casey’s Corner is not only still the place where locals and friends still come to meet. Under the ownership of Mike and Elisa Anderson, the Desert Market is still a successful and thriving country store. As Mike says, “I want everything we sell to have value, a purpose, to have a healing quality.”
The Desert Market offers the Verde Valley everything from the highest grade of locally raised organic beef and produce to wholesome, delicious snacks as well as hot and cold drinks. This includes a full selection of premium brand spirits, over 150 labels of beer with 100 different labels of microbrews and also local winery vintages.
The Desert Market at Casey’s Corner has preserved its historic flavor and nostalgic charm while growing and changing with the times. The Desert Market is now freshly remodeled and includes beautiful murals and artwork (both inside and out) and also offers gourmet wine and beer tasting events!
So stop by and say “Howdy!”, grab a snack and enjoy a visit!
